Zoom Productions was established in 1991 to provide creative services to businesses. The owner and founder Susan “Soozie” Robinson is the creative charge and has been involved in marketing, merchandising and space design since graduating high school. Early years were spent dividing time between college and working for a string of retail shops called the Merra-Lee Shops at The Meeting Place & East Room.
After 5 years in the retail business she turned her high heels in for steel-toed boots at Fermilab, Batavia, IL., http://history.fnal.gov/transition.html ,as a model maker and technician under the Department of Energy in Cryogenics with a 50 person team super insulating the main ring. Exciting but short-lived when energy funds were cut. Rae Ellsworth, a former retail client, proposed to train Robinson from back to front of the house at her historic landmark restaurant, The Mill Race Inn, situated on the Fox river in Geneva, IL., in exchange for her energy and creativity. Robinson proposed her first design/marketing plan for The Gazebo, an outdoor bar at Mill Race.
